Rooms
Something for everyone
The structural conversion of the house into a hotel created twenty rooms that are spread over eight different types. Details on the Hotel degli Oleandri past here.
Complex construction work was needed to turn the building into a hotel and adapt the structure for its new use, while retaining the historical authenticity of its walls. So, we cannot offer very large rooms or bathrooms.
Each room is different from all the others and designed to meet the needs of guests travelling alone as well as whole families on holiday. Hotel degli Oleandri has rooms for one person and more spacious rooms and suites, accommodating up to four people.

Now for a little history
Staying at Hotel degli Oleandri is an unforgettable experience. Leave behind ideas of glossy, modern hotels and embrace the unique details this hotel has to offer.
The hotel is housed in a building dating back to when the Roman poet, Catullus, stayed in Sirmione. It is also where a mill wheel from a medieval olive press was found, as well as other precious details of the original house being preserved here too. These include an old well, that’s still functioning, an elegant fresco that decorates the vaulted ceiling in the dining room and an ancient floor in the lounge.
All in all, you’ll find yourself surrounded by history. Clearly, you won’t find the usual amenities offered by the most up-to-date hotels here. But if you love authentic locations, you’ll discover so much more. This hotel is in keeping with the magnificent ancient walls around Sirmione, reflecting the establishment’s past.
