Rooms

Something for everyone

Welcoming, tranquil and airy. Our recently refurbished rooms at Hotel degli Oleandri have everything you need for a wonderful stay in Sirmione or a romantic weekend on Lake Garda.

The structural conversion of the house into a hotel created twenty rooms that are spread over eight different types. Details on the Hotel degli Oleandri past here.
Complex construction work was needed to turn the building into a hotel and adapt the structure for its new use, while retaining the historical authenticity of its walls. So, we cannot offer very large rooms or bathrooms.

Each room is different from all the others and designed to meet the needs of guests travelling alone as well as whole families on holiday. Hotel degli Oleandri has rooms for one person and more spacious rooms and suites, accommodating up to four people.

Now for a little history

Staying at Hotel degli Oleandri is an unforgettable experience. Leave behind ideas of glossy, modern hotels and embrace the unique details this hotel has to offer.

The hotel is housed in a building dating back to when the Roman poet, Catullus, stayed in Sirmione. It is also where a mill wheel from a medieval olive press was found, as well as other precious details of the original house being preserved here too. These include an old well, that’s still functioning, an elegant fresco that decorates the vaulted ceiling in the dining room and an ancient floor in the lounge.

All in all, you’ll find yourself surrounded by history. Clearly, you won’t find the usual amenities offered by the most up-to-date hotels here. But if you love authentic locations, you’ll discover so much more. This hotel is in keeping with the magnificent ancient walls around Sirmione, reflecting the establishment’s past.

Excellent - we would definitely choose to return if we visit Sirmione again Our family of six stayed at this hotel for five nights in August. We received a warm welcome and everyone was most friendly and helpful. The rooms were minimalist in décor, very clean and had everything we needed. Although lacking seating other than a chair at the desk there were various areas in the hotel offering peace and quiet and comfortable seating. Although, having said that, the whole ambiance of the hotel was quiet and peaceful despite being on the edge of the old town and close to the castle, many restaurants, bathing areas and the ferry terminal for trips around the lake. We all slept really well at this hotel and would definitely choose to return if we visit Sirmione again. The buffet breakfast was exceptionally good and included a tempting array of delicious cakes. We were tempted by the breakfast on the terrace, which had to be booked in advance, but decided against it because of the timing and lack of shade.

Perfect location and a nice room very good location, in the old town, and close to beaches: 70-100 meters and 300 meters away. Professional and helpful reception. The room was clean, fresh and comfortable. Helpful instructions for Grifon parking. The breakfast was also good. Not very loud, despite the location. In general the expectations were exceeded

Sirmione at its best . An excellent place right in the Center of Sirmione. Rooms are comfortable, well decorated and we loved the roof top terrace and the breakfast terrace over looking the castle and the lake. A single room was available for a solo family member. Breakfast was amazing, staff were so helpful, kind and made you so welcome. X

Lovely hotel with good central location This hotel have a warm atmosphere and feels like home. We stayed at the room with the terrace and enjoyed the sun and the view over the lake and church. A special thanks to Alan, who helped us with booking tables at some of the best restaurants in the city.

Great location for an amazing hotel We stayed here while visiting Lake Garda and could not recommend it more highly! The hotel was in the perfect location in the stunning old town of Sirmione, right next to the lake with stunning views over the lake from the sunset terrace. We found the staff there to be very friendly and extremely helpful, going above and beyond to give us tips about where to go and what to do to maximise our trip. The breakfast provided in the morning was such an amazing spread, providing great options for all guests, including me, being gluten free with my diet. Just a great place to stay all in all!
